Adnan Enver Baig – Managing Director (CEO)
Adnan Enver Baig is a seasoned executive with over 17 years of leadership experience in the energy, oil, and gas sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from York University in Toronto and has spearheaded multiple ventures in the power industry.
As the Chief Executive Officer of two prominent companies in the energy domain, he has played a pivotal role in delivering strategic and operational success. One of these companies, Maxus Power Group, is a leading energy consultancy that supplies critical electrical and mechanical equipment to hydropower plants, in partnership with manufacturers based in Europe. The other, Rehma Metering Solutions, is a well-recognized indenting firm actively engaged in global partnerships and public sector tenders, consistently transforming bids into successful infrastructure projects.
His expertise earned him a distinguished position on the Board of Directors at a major electric supply company under the Ministry of Power Division from November 2022 to July 2024. During this tenure, he contributed significantly through various committees, particularly in procurement, finance, and human resources. Notable accomplishments include improving procurement systems, implementing advanced metering infrastructure, upgrading infrastructure, facilitating labor hiring for operational continuity, promoting employee welfare through compensation and educational scholarships, and maintaining clean financial audits.
Earlier in his career, he began with a major international bank, where he served as a Relationship and Product Manager. There, he successfully built and managed a high-value liability portfolio and was repeatedly recognized for his top-tier performance and ability to drive business growth.
Muhammad Abid Sheikh – Senior General Manager Technical
Muhammad Abid Sheikh brings over 39 years of rich technical and leadership experience in the field of hydropower and civil engineering. He is a graduate of UET Lahore with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and holds a specialized diploma in Hydropower Development from Norway.
Having served in various capacities within a leading water and power development authority, he rose through the ranks from Junior Civil Engineer to the role of General Manager. His journey reflects a consistent commitment to technical excellence and national infrastructure development. After his retirement, he was re-engaged as a technical advisor for hydro planning and later joined RMA Engineering Services as a Hydropower Expert.
His core competencies include dam and hydropower project planning, hydraulic structure design, hydrological studies, energy estimation, cost analysis, and feasibility report preparation. He has led and contributed to dozens of high-impact feasibility studies for small to mega-scale hydropower projects, some exceeding capacities of 5000 MW.
His detailed contributions span across decades, covering field investigations, conceptual planning, design optimization, and preparation of bidding documents for a wide array of projects across Pakistan. His work has played a foundational role in shaping the country’s renewable energy roadmap, particularly in hydropower development.
Zafar Amin Qureshi – General Manager Services
Zafar Amin Qureshi is a seasoned GIS and AutoCAD expert with over two decades of experience in hydropower feasibility studies, digital mapping, and infrastructure development. As the General Manager Services, he has played a pivotal role in the planning, analysis, and design of numerous high-impact hydropower and infrastructure projects across Pakistan and abroad.
With an MBA Executive from Hajvery University (2014) and a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from the UK (2004), Zafar combines technical excellence with managerial acumen. His core expertise lies in the use of GIS technologies for spatial analysis, image classification, terrain modeling, and database development using platforms such as ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, AutoCAD, ArcView, Global Mapper, and Google Earth.
Over his career, he has contributed to the feasibility and design of more than 50 hydropower and dam projects, including the Hingol Hydropower Project, Attabad Lake HPP, Shyok Dam, Dasu Transmission Line, Gabral-Kalam HPP, and multiple projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His responsibilities have spanned across GIS analysis, structural layout planning, satellite image interpretation, and the creation of EPC tender documents.
Zafar’s portfolio includes work on national-scale infrastructure like the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and strategic energy projects such as Karot (800 MW), Azad Pattan (640 MW), and Chiniot Dam (80 MW). His strong command over GIS tools and hydropower design makes him an indispensable asset in the energy and infrastructure development sector.
